He joined that publication in 2005 after covering local development for ThisWeek Newspapers. He's been recognized as the Best Reporter in Ohio by the Ohio SPJ in 2022 and the Cleveland Press Club in 2023 and 2025 for the breadth of his work. He has a journalism degree from the Ohio University.
