Event Description:
LinkUS is Central Ohio’s comprehensive transportation initiative to help address growth, workforce access barriers, and other mobility needs in our community. It includes five rapid transit corridors, a 45% increase in transit service hours throughout COTA’s service area, 500 new miles of sidewalks, bikeways, and trails, and $250 million in roadway improvements. Patrick Harris, Vice President of External Relations, will join us from COTA, and Emily Keeler, City Council President of Grandview Heights, to share the LinkUS overview and answer questions.

Patrick Harris
Patrick Harris is the Vice President of External Relations for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). As a member of COTA’s leadership team, Patrick manages a team of policy influencers, communications professionals, planners, developers, and relationship builders who tell the story of COTA’s transformational change, the plan for implementation, and the impact on the region.
Emily Keeler
Emily A. Keeler, MA, ECI, CTA, is serving her third term on Council for the City of Grandview Heights where she has a strong passion for bike and walk safety and improving communications and transparency.
She has sponsored and supported sustainable legislation and initiatives and helped to create the public art program. During her tenure she has served many roles including the liaison for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) and chaired every committee.
Emily works at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy as the Wellness and Community Builder and received the Outstanding Staff Award. In this role she focuses on connecting people with Ohio State and to the community at large and conducts the wellness programming for the college. In addition to her work duties, she is a member of the Medicine and the Arts Board and former board member for the Association of Staff and Faculty Women.
Keeler received her MA in Arts Administration from Florida State University and her BA and BM in horn performance from The University of Akron. Previously she has worked with The Florida State University College of Music, The Florida State University College of Education, Marcus Roberts and the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs. She is a graduate of Leadership Ohio and Ohio State Staff Leadership Series.
Emily Resides in Grandview Heights with her husband and son and their dog and two cats. When not conducting city business, Emily enjoys running, hiking, birding, and is a certified Experience Columbus Insider.
