About the Role
As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be the voice and visual storyteller for both Emerald Creative Content and our clients. This hybrid role requires attending content shoots around Columbus and participating in occasional in-person team meetings. You’ll have the chance to build your portfolio, make your mark in the creative community, and help shape the online presence of brands that trust us with their story.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies tailored to client and agency goals
- Project manage all client social media content from creation through to scheduling
- Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
- Attend and help execute content shoots for clients (on location in Columbus)
- Write captions and conduct basic hashtag research to optimize post visibility
- Engage with audiences by responding to comments, messages, and interactions
- Stay on top of trends, viral content formats, and social media platform updates
- Track and report on analytics to assess content performance and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with agency leadership, creative, and SEO teams to align social media with broader marketing goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for personal brands, businesses, or clients
- Strong eye for design and visual storytelling
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Education in marketing, communications, or design preferred but not required
- Ability to analyze social media insights and adapt strategies accordingly
- Highly organized and detail oriented with experience successfully project managing complex tasks
- A self-starter who’s adaptable and creative
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Familiar With:
- CapCut or another video editing software
- Canva or another photo/graphics editing software
- Google Drive
Bonus Skills:
- Photography and/or videography experience
- Knowledge of SEO or interest in learning SEO best practices for social media
